TONY'S VIEW

OK, I know I haven't done a whip in a while but I need to get this language issue off my back.  So, lets see, NASCAR decides to fine Todd Parrott for foul language.  Does this mean that NASCAR fines at least 80% of the crew and drivers at every race....I don't think so.  Now, I have been to races and heard several...no wait, a lot of drivers and crew using obscene language throughout the weekend on the scanner.  I blame the problem with ESPN for sticking their nose in the 88 teams business when I am sure they have heard for themselves that the teams are like us everyday people and occasionally use bad language.  I guess us fans need to refrain from cursing at the track for fear that NASCAR has spies in the grandstands just waiting for us to drop a curse word.  Man, I can't afford a $5,000 fine.  What's next, Winston Cup Racing on Pay-Per View.  ESPN, you should of expected this to happen and monitored all the scanner conversations before playing them, and then maybe you wouldn't of cost Mr. Parrott this money.  I can hear it now at the beginning of every race on each drivers frequencies, "Warning, listening to this channel might be detrimental to NASCAR and offensive to fans, and is suitable for mature audiences only".  Let's leave these teams alone, and lets work on calling the race first before we worry about what they are saying on the scanner.
